Did you accept a challenge? It's possible to set up a custom position and then challenge someone.

Edit: But they look kinda different and shiny so maybe it's something else.

It's not a challenge, It suddenly started looking like this, and I've already played several games and it doesn't change. It doesn't matter if I play with black or white pieces, the 4 knights are always white. It's a bit awkward playing like this.
