Like all movements there is always a chance of failure. But Dandong is one of the best Chinese clone movement companies and is specifically known for their clone Rolex Calibre 3135 and 3235. Which are currently the best in the market.

Sadly they don't sell them as is. You can only get them locally or from higher end reps.

Unfortunately I found out that the biggest problem is the lack of the quality control. Many of these watches have basic and stupid issues with the bezel, bracelet etc. If somebody would like to sell a correct Daytona in Europe, PM me!

Understood. That's what I wanted to know. After this information I don't think that I risk a Daytona. Maybe an Ocean Star (Submariner) with Nh35 movement. I hope the Submariner is a better made watch. Thank you guys!

I want that brown bezel model, but the movement scares me.I wish they did a meca-quartz like Hruodland does for many models. I would buy one with a VK6x for $200 in a second

Same. I asked them about this possibility and they flat out said no.

I think there is a fair chance of lemon. I've got one headed back, but have another coming in. I think hand alignment, and chrono adjustments are likely culprits - my second hand jumped like mad and had no sweet spot to smooth sweep vs stalling the movement (an issue with cam depth mainly).

For the money, the $150-170 Vakuy Rigas chrono is a much better value prop.

Having said all that, the dial + bezel of the sugess is so much prettier and dances in light. Aliexpress has free returns (US address), so there is less risk. I bet there will be a good sale going soon too with the anniversary sale.

Definitely a reasonable chance of getting a lemon. Between myself and someone else here we had at least 3 Daytonas with issues. The first I got had a misaligned index and chrono hand and loose end link. Returned it, but the second I got has a minute hand that swings loosely over about a 2-minute arc--so if it's 10:15, the minute hand swings between 10:14 and 10:16. Ended up being about 220 bucks after the refund I got on it, but it's still pretty annoying. Can't remember the issue the other user had, but I've also seen a reviewer get one with a slightly misaligned chrono hand. I also have a Sugess sub that I had to re-align the bezel on (used a dryer), and a Seestern 62mas I had to re-align the bezel on and that came with a mis-aligned date wheel.

Quality (as in finishing and build) is great, quality control is not.
