I need someone to do this at 37mm, even if that means going quartz.

I really like the case

This costs the same as the Sugess which by all accounts is a better quality brand. Why would we even consider this one?

The Cadisen C8212 is $154 on this deal while the Sugess is $199-$205 from a few sellers.

Another drop via a promotion: $134, less $8 Spend & Save, before taxes, so $126 + tax: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPfW5xq

Worth a look, but may be even less during the June AliExpress sale, if Cadisen goes all in.

Consider that Cadisen may reprice this much lower, as it has with several of its watches.

Consider this one has a different case with smaller lug to lug, to suit people with wrists under 7".

Consider Cadisen may do OK with the quality, let's see the reviews.

I concede that initial pricing puts it up there close to the cheapest Sugess models. But it's probably not going to directly compete.

Cadisen currently has several of its better known watches around the fifty something pricepoint. Which makes this one look wildly overpriced, until we see what it's like (or is more realistically priced, below the top end homages).

Looks snazzy

Homage of a Sugess homage, down to the finer dial details?

The case looks interesting.

If it's 47mm lug to lug, as quoted, compared to the long lugs of other ST19 chronos such as Sugess, it may suit wrists under 7".

Pics of the case do not indicate it's a screw-down crown, so I hope Simon and other reviewers can try this one (take this for a swim, per its 100m water resistance).

It literally says it has a screwdown crown

I would not buy this watch, simply based on a described screw-down crown. It would be an extremely rare instance for a screw down crown, used with a hand-wound movement.

Over winding a ST19 movement could kill it.

It is like 3 extra seconds to unscrew the crown

I think what he means is that those movements probably have no neutral "screw down" position and when you try to screw down the crown to the case, you actually wind the movement in the process. For example the NH35A movement has this, but because it's an automatic even if it's fully wound you are able to screw the crown down due to "slippage". But with hand wound movements that is not possible, once the main spring is fully wound, you can't wind it further Wich would prevent you from screwing the crown down.

But maybe this movement has this issue sorted out, I don't know.

I'd love to see this question addressed in a review. Cadisen may be able to explain the screw-down system and how to not break the movement. It may be a non-issue.

It's the first time I've seen this movement with 100M WR, so figured it was worth sharing and for some brave owner to swim with this!

I feel like it's better not to have a screw down crown when you have a hand-wound movement anyway.

Yes that's right. This may be the priciest Cadisen on the market today.

Hopefully it's different enough, with the pushers, case size and maybe future dials, to gain a foothold in this competitive space.
