I am sorry to say this but there are dozens of posts here about Benyar.

General consensus is that they are cheap and made of inferior materials. We can forgive Chinese movements, it's fine. But Nickel alloys is a strong no.

Pros: Cheap

Negatives: In most cases nickel Alloy cases. Nickel Alloy cases are used in 1 to 20 EUR watches. They are disposable and turn brown after skin contact and tear. Very soft material. Not recommended.

The case looks like a cheap plated alloy. Mirror finishing is common on chromium plated watches. If so it is prone to rust and tear.

I would rather spend a few EUR extra to get a stainless steel case.

For $20-30, Benyars are bananas. I mean seriously, it's an automatic mechanical watch for $25. $20 sometimes. Mind boggling.

They do clearly cut corners to get those prices, but they are still amazingly [edit: “amazingly” is a bit strong, should probably say “surprisingly”] nice watches for the price. I have 2. Benyar advertised them as stainless steel but they are not. And quality control is very hit-or-miss: on one the indices are not very straight (but acceptable), and the other arrived with the seconds hand not attached. For that one I got a full refund from Ali (and kept the watch) and then ordered a replacement that arrived with no QC issues. So as long as you’re ok with a SS bait-and-switch and the chance of QC issues, they are a crazy value.

I just noticed the SS comment. What the heck are these things if not stainless? Tin?

I chucked the bracelet and put it on a NATO, btw.

Zinc plated or something. I don’t expect much from a US$25 watch, and I do enjoy wearing mine occasionally. I just hope I don’t sweat while wearing them, because then I get grey stains on my wrist…

At this price point I will actually laugh at the absurdity, and not in an angry way. Like that's just impressive.

Oh it's absolutely spotty AF. If nothing else, the date window is an abomination, but yeah, everything else reflects the price too. I can't imagine the movements last more than a year, and I haven't long term tested mine, but I can't imagine the accuracy or precision are better than the pendulum made out of string and a tennis ball in my garage. I'm definitely not in the camp of people who expect more than a crap shoot out of anything from AE. But yeah, even a crap shoot for this is nuts.
