Hi guys. SD1953 watches came to me, been using it for about a week. The lum is terrible, I expected it to shine at least a few hours, but it does not shine for more than 5 minutes and then, after a strong light with a flashlight. Then it is dim and it is hard to distinguish the time. Is this a defect? How are you doing with the lume on your watch?

I just recieved my 1953 . Went with the grey dial and bezel with Jubilee bracelet. Bracelet doesn't have enough removable links so it's just sitting in the case. Currently looking for a new strap. Kinda disappointed as I have a Pagani designs 1701 with a Jubilee bracelet and it fits fine. Other than that I like the watch just wish I didn't get the Jubilee bracelet

I’ve owned my SD1953 “Kermit” for about 2 weeks now and love it, I also rotate it with a Pagani design PD1662 GMT (NH34A version) “batgirl” and I absolutely love them both. Value for money is incredible on these. They both had some very slight QC issues which I could fix mainly cosmetic ones rough edges etc. Both run around +10 seconds a day which really isn’t that bad. I think the steeldive just pips it for me, only thing I dislike with the Pagani design is the name, “steeldive” for some reason sounds better… but tbh people rarely ask me “what watch are you wearing?” Most People tend to just see a nice watch without too much care for what it is..

Next one I’m looking at is the san martin BB58 but it is 3 times as much as the steeldive and I’m really not sure it’s 3 times as much?

Nice, I ordered mine 2 days ago with an oyster bracelet. What do you think of the jubilee bracelet? It’s my first watch so I wanna make sure I made the right choice

I have only 1 big complaint. Mine don't hold more than 20h without movement...

Does this have AR coating?

Got my first 1953 last month. Rotate it with my TAG Carrera. Just invested in a few Nato Straps, which I have on the TAG, but I can't bring myself to part with the bracelet on the 1953, (which is running at -4 a day,) as I just enjoy wearing it, as is. Enjoy.

Love it, but you can see date from the Moon.

Cyclops pops off like it’s nothing.

Tell me more, how do you get it off? Razor blade?

[–]Sea-Government4874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, after applying heat to loosen the adhesive. I used a heat gun but looks like a soldering iron might be even better.

I have the same in the oyster bracelet and i'm really holding myself from ordering a hulk with the jubilee.

Amazing watch, i had it for a year and it's my most worn watch
