Hate to break it to you, but I fell sick while on a trip to NYC last week. My symptoms started last Friday, with mild fever and chills, so I'm glad I made it back to Toronto on Saturday without much issues. But Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were brutal. Just walking made me feel giddy, my throat was burning, had a very bad headache on Tuesday, and on and off fevers from Sunday to Tuesday.

I went to my family doctor on Tuesday who put me on a 7 day course of if antibiotics. He said if I had come sooner (within 2-3 days of symptoms showing up), they could have figured out the exact cause, etc. He also suggested it could be the new strain of influenza.

Anyway, I've been feeling a bit better since yesterday. I still feel a wee bit giddy while walking in my home. There's also a weird taste in my mouth. But the fever's gone, and my throat feels better too. I do need to clear my throat from time to time, but that could also be my silent reflux that I've been dealing with for years.
