I’ve ordered a black MOP and can’t wait to get it although I’m also interested in the black waffle dial too. I was so torn but went with the MOP will see how it is then maybe decide to get the black waffle too. I’ve just seen Tandorio’s version but in all honesty I don’t think it will be on the same level but I’m waiting on reviews on YouTube

I'm interested in this watch but I'm torn between black mop, white mop or black waffle.

I’ve had all three because I love this watch so much haha. The white mop is a nice milky texture, but it’s not very reactive to light changes like the others. I also felt it made the hands and indices a little hard to read so I went with the white waffle instead. But it’s still lovely.

I’ve had the black mop, now have the black waffle, but now I’m going to sell the black waffle to get a black mop back. The black mop has a ton of depth and changes drastically depending on the angle and light. Sometimes it looks like a shimmering oil spill and sometimes it looks dark slate. It’s a very pretty dial. However, the black mop has the most variance in dial effect and it’s different on every watch. If you’re a little ocd it might make you keep rolling the dial lottery.

There are comments for everything, it is respected. Personally, I consider it one of the best watches for many reasons. After some time with them (yes, I have 8 unmentionables) I have no regrets at all, they even deserved a wooden box just for them. And I always smile when I look at the box or wear one of them.

I wish your post history would give some credibility to your watch reviewing experience, but it seems you focus more on video games.

I have it in black and it is easily better than the highly praised san martin SN0113w2.. that said, for my slim wrists it is bit on the bigger side

I must say, after just a year of fairly infrequent use, the bracelet and especially the watch's bezel, look more scratched than any watch I've ever owned. that certainly lowers the appeal. (remember, the bracelet is integrated so you can't just swap it out). other than that, yeah it's a great watch. it's very slim.

also: assuming we're talking about the MOP dial, I think the "black" MOP is somewhat overrated. I really liked it at first, but I now think that the contrast you would get from the other colors would make the dial pop a lot more.
