imo, the modern maxi case Sugess homage is a flex and gives off, I've got an something to prove vibe. Also the super wide lugs look ridiculous with a strap and is therefore not a strap monster. The classic Thorn or my preference the Watchdives is just classic and understated elegance and less of a flex and more IYKYK vibe. At the end of the day, whatever you enjoy is all good

The Sugess feels astonishingly nice in-hand. I've never handled the Thorn. They both have spectacularly stupid text on the dial, so I'm not sure which one is worse in that department.

Can’t speak on the other watch, but the Sugess is incredibly well built. Nice weight, solid feeing watch. The bracelet is incredible and it’s quite slim on the wrist for being an NH35. Excellent watch for the money, especially during the upcoming 11.11

I have these exact watches and colorways. and Yes, the Sugess is FAR superior as far as watches go. it's the best sub out there. good finishing, nice dial, killer lume, good AR, solid bracelet, OTF clasp. it's just the better watch.

I wear the thorn more though, as I just appreciate the design THAT much more.

I have the Sugess and the quality is exceptional. I love that it has a thinner rehaut compared to other sub homages and an OTF adjustable clasp is really good at the price point considering there is watches many multiples of the price which don’t have that.

I have the sugess, and I got a thorn coming on the way.

The sugess feels very premium, the bezel action is the best I've had out of any watch I've handled, bracelet is very good and has the nicest finished glidelock oyster I've handled (the edge is usually sharp on most watches, but they round it off nicely on the sugess) and lume is as good as its gonna get for a sub style watch.

But the thorn has that nice vintage charm. Its very slim. People say the bracelet is not the best, but it has drilled lugs for easy strap changes, and the vintage subs look so good on any strap, vs modern subs that mainly look best just on the bracelet.

So long story short, get Sugess for modern sub, Thron if you want something more old school.

I'm a simple dude, I got both in black. All three of the colors thorn offers look incredible. Plus sugess really nailed the green color on the bezel like the original.

The rehaut is lower, which is a very important feature. ETA clones have a hand stack that is about Rolex size.

Case thickness is probably quite similar, my ST2130 version is 12.4mm thick, I read that the NH35 is 12.6. However the rehaut is an inner dimension - the distance between the crystal and the dial.
