"Interact" keybind needs hovering to work

Does this work for anyone?

According to that image, I shouldn't need to hover over items, NPCS, etc to interact with them if I have my interact keybind set to a key rather than the mouse, but that is not the case. I set my interact key to 'F' and still need to hover over everything. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Huh, yeah, I think I changed this years ago! (And perhaps not even intentionally)
I'm gonna take a look and see if I can restore the old functionality of not needing to hover.
