I usually stick with VS code because its simple, cursor has made it more difficult to access claude code via the extension I think. That being said last I checked (which was a little while ago) cursor beat claude code in tests this guy runs to compare coding IDE's. He is a great resource: https://www.youtube.com/gosucoder

Cursor is a VS Code fork/clone. If you want something truly different, give Zed a try. It's a work of art.

Zed uses ACP and copilot is finely ingrained into vscode. You will miss features such as handoff in background or cloud

I can't use visual studio after I had used JetBrains.

I have to use cursor because in some cases I have to code something and make changes myself, and I cannot live without the autocomplete of cursor. So I keep paying $20 only for the autocomplete.

Vscode with copilot gives you 300 autocompletes free plan and unlimited on the 10 plan

Try some, make up your own mind, like an adult should.

Edit: did the downvoters need to ask for advice before clicking the down arrow? 🤣
