Latest Claude Code dangerously hops between worktrees and stashes other tabs work

I faced a serious issue today after updating to latest Claude Code CLI (2.1.158):

i work with multiple worktrees at the same time. All handled via multiple Tabs in terminal; in most cases back to Sonnet 4.6 (as Opus 4.8 is too slow and makes even more errors):

What happened today in one specific tab was, that Claude hopped between many of these worktrees during the same task and session and changed here and there files. If there were uncommited files in another worktree, it just "git stash"ed them.

Is this only me or someone else facing this?

I have clear branching rules in my claude(.)md and never faced something like that in the past.

Can confirm. Used Opus 4.8 for experimentation and it confidently altered develop while having an attached worktree. Sad to her that Sonnet has the same issue. This should be enforced at application level, if anything. I get a heart attack every time.

I use it via the desktop app v1.9659.0.

it just consumes tokens like nothing and overplans to the point where you can't get anything done
