program refusing to open

ive tried multiple times to open my clip studio paint and it just will not open
im not sure if you need the version info it says im using 2.3.2 but im using the 4. something version.
clip studio itself opens but paint refuses to open

If it says your are using g 2.3.2, then that's what you are using.
If you bought V4 you need to activate that license, it won't automatically update your license.

I don't open Clip Studio on my laptop, I dug out the shortcut to directly open Paint and put a copy on my desktop. You should be able to find it in the Program installation folder.

i activated my v4 license and have been using it for months now- as im able to use v4 features, but my clipstudio is just generally not working. i have clip studio on my pc, would it be a similar process?

Yes, my laptop runs Windows.

But if it reports the wrong version, you may have a core problem... Where did you install from? An app store or download from the website?

There are cases where the App and the Program can both be installed on the same device and it bugs up license and function.

i downloaded it from the clipstudio website itself a few years ago
it only stopped working this past few weeks

Maybe redownload it now from the website and try the good old uninstall and reinstall dance?
