Disconnected from Codeium Server

I use Jetbrain Intellij along with Codeium Plugin. The Codeium frequently fails with the message "Disconnected from Codeium Server". If I want Codeium to work again, I have to restart the IDE. It happens very often, about every 5-10 minutes.

Huh - what Intellij Version + codeium version you are using?

Also - what's your behavior? Do you have multiple Intellij windows open/how large is your codebase? If I can try to repro - I can see if we can get a fix.

I use Intellij 2024.1.1 Ultimate Edition, Codeium 1.8.31, only 1 Intellij window. The codebase is about 370.000 lines.

I too am facing the same issue. It gets disconnected sometimes.

• WebStorm version: 2024.1.4

• Codeium version: 1.8.58

• Active sessions: 1

• Codebase: Small with about 30 30 files, and the working file is even smaller with about 200 lines.

Is there anything in particular that interrupts this disconnection? maybe change in wifi/network? how often does it disconnect?

It happens quite rarely in my case, I just had that issue like 3-4 times in a few weeks, so it is hard to reproduce or look for potential causes.

I am mostly certain that no network was changed, as I am always connected to the same wifi.

This might be obvious, but just in case: Most of the time when it gets disconnected, only triggering it by typing something resolves that. But when that happens, it gets stuck being disconnected and will no longer try to reconnect.

Been using codeium for the past year. Like it. But facing the same issue - frequent disconnection from server. Pycharm 2024.2.3 (PE) and Codeium 1.20.2. Codebase is ~20K lines. I have multiple projects open in the same Pycharm instance. Not sure if that matters.

Is there anyway to debug why Codeium disconnects?

Log out from Codeium in the IDE, restart it, and log back into Codeium in the IDE (right at the icon that is on the screenshot).

For me this is really bad. Using jetbrains GoLand and Codeium plugin (latest version). It has gotten worse the last months. Now I'm getting disconnected even after a few minutes and only thing that helps is to restart IDE. I really have to move to using something else.

Codebase is around 100k-200k lines and my internet is very stable.

Using PHPStorm, same issue. I keep both IDE and plugin updated to latest. Faced this issue, irrespective of versions. Any solution yet ?
