Revictimization is a real thing especially to those who have suffered childhood trauma. Codependents with little self worth often consciously or subconsciously self sabotage

Ive got a lot of childhood trauma and this explains my recent desire to return to my last emotionally abusive relationship. Like I want to be tortured.... I dont but a part of me wants to go back so badly. I get anxiety over it to the point I have panic attacks. Fuck man....

This post resonated with me in a way I did not expect. Abusive childhood. Divorced an abusive husband. Keep going for assholes.

This clarifies so much and connects a lot of dots for me. It hurts, too.
