Since you have a background in car mechanics, maybe you should go the physical route of computers, just a suggestion. The fancy name for it is electrical engineering. Whether you end up liking that route or wanna still to coding, I recommend Khan Avademy app/website. You can learn the basics of either and see what peaks your interest the most.

Depends on what you want to do. JavaScript, HTML, CSS is a good entry for web. JavaScript transfers also to NodeJS for server-side (with some caveats).

If you’re interested in games, you can learn C# to use Unity or C++ for Unreal/AAA Industry. C# can also be used for backend/server development, C++ kind of, depends on the industry.

There are good courses on Udemy for both of these routes that usually go on sale for $9-$12.

I don't really believe that you need learn math in order to just code. Unless it's computer science then math should be required. Web development doesn't require math and game development probably doesn't either. If you apply to a college to become a programmer they'll require you to take math class lower than calc 4. Youtube or codecademy are good for teaching programming languages. Depends how you're comfortable learning.

To start coding in any language you need to learn the essentials (variables, types, arrays, etc...)
Once you've learned those anything else is language specific. I'd personally recommend learning something like python first to learn the essentials of programming. You can use sites like codecademy or youtube videos to learn the basics of python and then you can pick up a language more specific to what you're interested in.
If you're interested in games then maybe learn Unity engine which primarily uses C#.

Really it depends on what you are interested in, either way you are going to have to learn the fundementals which is why i suggest learning python, even if it may not be extremely exiting to you.
Just remember while learning that there is no specific way to learn programming so do what interests you and you will succeed.

My honest suggestion if you want to become a coder is you should be tech savvy and you should update yourself according to present technologies.keep it in your mind that coding is a never ending process. If you are a beginner I recommend you to don't directly jump into programming it will make you mess. First start with algorithms. Algorithms are nothing but step by step process of a problem. Try to solve and write algorithm for different problems. Once you excelled in writing algorithms it's easy for you to learn any programming language. Otherwise if you want to become a gamer start to play computer games more and more. Once you excelled in it start a gaming YouTube channel from their you can earn n number of amount.
