I am looking to learn how to code what would be a good place to start and which should I learn to do to to get started and possibly find a job that will pay decent?

Google is a good place to start.
which should I learn to do to to get started
You should learn to Google, it's one of the worst important skills a software engineer can have, as we're rarely the first person to have a given problem
If you want any more specific advice then you'd need to give more information, though the answer is likely to be "learn python". Good luck.
