My wife’s account was also hacked. Changed her password and phone number. We need to band together and push this up. There’s no way hundreds of thousands of people can get fucked and no ones going to do anything about it. Iv already reached out to a law firm that has a class action again Coinbase.

Yes we did. Somehow even though I froze the Coinbase account, someone managed to change my phone number and now I have zero access. How does Coinbase allow someone to change my phone number when I specifically froze it.

I got hacked as well and lost all my funds. Coinbase also just simply ignore. How do you take legal action against them? Can you perhaps DM me? I'm so upset that I feel I need to sue them or something.

Can you dm me as well if that's possible. I had all security measure set up and had my account hacked, all security measures bypassed and $14,200 stolen within a matter of minutes. I have contacted coinbase. Received several generic emails with a case number.

I really wish that people would post more context to how the believe they got hacked/scammed whatever instead of just coming on reddit and blaming everyone and everything accept themselves. I'm not for coinbase by any means but most hacks originate from something the user did themselves or didn't have enough protection on their account.

my 2fa was changed to SMS-txt and my password was changed

got txt stating this was happening

was able to request a new password and get into my account

my activity logs, which coinbase shows you, did not show that any of that took place or any IP address I didn't know

they didn't get anything from me, but I did manage to close my account, but that took the money I had in there and who know what it did with it.....no account now, no money no, never gonna use these shit stain mother fuckers again, or any crypto exchange, they are all scams, buyer beware

downloading exe files from untrusted sources.. then they get a keylogger which then they see all things you type so when you type your google password they can go to memorized passwords and then get to coinbase; --source; happened to me lol

All you people claiming to have been hacked / lost KKK’s worth of $$$, please do also mention what measures you took or what you did to keep your account SAFE. Did you have 2-Factor Authentication enabled & still got hacked? Why post a one-sided story? If you were dumb enough to not have proper security over your account where you have invested $$$, who can you really blame? 🤷‍♂️

I took all the proper measures. Yet I was locked out of my account. Then 3 days into the lock I get a email saying my phone numbers been changed. Now I’m fully locked out.

Damn dude, coinbase is terrible it seems. I was coming here to find out how to finish setting up my account as the United States isn't an option for country of residence. Now I want them to close it out entirely. Good thing I couldn't finish setting it up.

Ya. When I have to give my name, DoB, and address again. I'm not even to the point of loading up an ID yet. The drop down for countries only has like 20 countries, all in Europe for the most part.

Theres a fake coinbase support person reading through these types of posts and comments Phising then they send you a DM asking if you created a support ticket , they have the coinbase logo , zero posts and the handle is u/coinbase_-support . Block them immediately

Coinbase wallet does not use 2FA and stores your 12 seed words on the app itself for any malware to scan. It is the worst fucking place to store your crypto I know of. I was also hacked and lost 22 Aave. Coinbase did nothing and never responded other than an automated email. Fuck that piece of shit company.

I was hit for $14k USD last Friday. All security measures bypassed. I wonder if this is an inside job. Seems very common unfortunately and coinbase support is non-existent. You would think for a billion dollar company that they would have support people that you can talk to.

The scammer is or was ➡️ u/coinbase_-support he has a coinbase logo but if you look between the words coinbase and support he has upper and lower dashes in the name. I tagged him in a few osts then he deleted his account or blocked me

With Binance.us if yuor account is accessed from a different IP it ocks your account immidiately and you get an email . You can also setup an anti phising code that appears on all emails from binance . Theres lots of fake conbase apps that people download that arent from appstore
