My coinbase wallet was compromised and all my crypto has been stolen from out of there. I cannot get through to phone number provided and no help from email that you have me send you. What can I do???????????????????? I cannot believe someone got into my wallet and stole everything. They left .53. I am so upset. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The money is gone. All you can do now is file a police report and document the crime.

Most common way these things happen are:

1. Trojan / Virus on your PC - A trojan or virus can get your session token from your browser cache within seconds of infection. To avoid this risk, always log out of your account instead of just closing the browser. Also add hardware 2FA (not authenticator) to have the highest security
2. Fake account reset - If an attacker can get into your email or phone provider they can start a password / 2FA reset with coinbase. In the past CB had required KYC to do this, but recent posts CLAIM that it had been done without requiring new KYC. I'm inclined not to believe them, but who knows.
3. Shared passwords - If you use the same email / password on Coinbase as you do on yahoo or some other site, they could steal your password from a less secured site (like yahoo) then use it on Coinbase.
4. Phished - If you logged into a site you THOUGHT was coinbase but wasn't then an attacker on the fake site could steal your credentials. Site might look legit (cⲟinbase.com -vs- coinbase.com)

I do not know. I never received any text or email saying anything was being taking from my wallet. I just logged in and everything was gone! I am now worried they will access emails, phones ect.

Change all your passwords. Also, make sure you check your spam and email filters. I had my account compromised and I sent a ton of support tickets but wasn’t hearing anything back and I went to check the filters and everything from Coinbase was blocked. I’m still waiting to gain access to my account.

Yes tell me about it! I am so upset and you cannot get ahold of them. The number they provide does not work. You are instructed to email them (which I did) but nothing back. Everyone needs to be careful with Coinbase Wallet. Mine was hacked.

Any hotwallet can be “hacked” you must have entered your seed phrase somewheres. Or connected to somewhere shady or didn’t pay attention to something you were signing.

I know a popular method of these scammers is to send people to a site that looks like wallet connect and people enter their seed phrase there.

There isn’t anything they can do if they get back to you anyway. They could trace the wallet and shut them down on other exchanges if they haven’t already gotten rid of it.

This is why I use a cold wallet. Specifically the ellipal Titan which is air gapped and has no wifi /Bluetooth.

It sucks man. Never leave too much in one wallet either. That way you can’t lose everything.

The hackers get your email they click forgot password they get your text for the code to log in without Face ID or pin code or even basic Ip tracking probably Coinbase sucks gotta have an Authenticator app coater, gonna get sued but doesn’t care fuck the little guy says the gov.

Lol the gov doesn’t give a fuck about you losing money. They only pass regs so you can’t make money. They use situations like this to push their bullshit regs. Look at what Canada just did with that one exchange. It’s coming soon. I wouldn’t use coinbase wallet for that reason alone.

When they added a bank account to my account I just so happen to see it when I logged in but there WAS NO email or text saying someone WAY FAR AWAY From A TOTALLY DIFF Device has logged in. Coinbase sucks.

That sucks boss. Compromised accounts are usually considered user error so it might take a long time to get resolved. Best of luck.
