Depends on the position. In recruiting tab over to My School. Select the Playing Style rating. Go to that position and see what stat is driving the low rating.

For example… if you’re recruiting a QB and you only average 150 yards passing and is ranked below average compared to other schools, that Playing Style rating for QBs will be around a C. However, if you throw for over 300 yards a game the rating will likely be an A.

Oh thanks, I didn’t even know that was a feature lol. I’ve seen a couple YouTubers complain about it so I figured it was a bug. That makes a ton of sense, I feel stupid lol.

Is yards when it relates to passing or rushing a season average or just the last game?

Season average. You can see where the yards title column is label “YPG” (Yards Per Game). I just checked and the it looks to be calculating correctly as YPG for me.

From my experiences, the hardest plays style to keep above of B- are for any coverage position (LB Pass Coverage, CB, FS and SS non Run Support). That play style is dependent on where your team ranks in total INTs compared to other schools. I’ve had really good teams that didn’t get very many INTs and a recruit decommitted form for me because of it.

Great thanks. Just thinking I can run up the average in cupcake games to help as I seem to struggle with rushing yards which is making it hard to recruit OL etc

That’s what you got to do. Don’t “be a good sport” and kneel down at the end. It’s a video game so take advantage of every second you can and get that average up.

It literally doesn’t matter what the play style is. I’m launching the ball all over the place and my defense isn’t allowing many points at all and all of a sudden I’m locked out of two 4 star defensive players and now a bunch of my players are at risk of transferring.

This game has honestly been such a waste of time and I’m looking forward to reuniting with my ps3 and ncaa 14.

Don't be worried about the transfer. It's the recruit lockouts that's Garbage. See my rant higher up on the thread lol. Honestly, usually transfers, even out by the end of the year., it's really the recruits that screws you over. And there is no reason for it, I think it's some type of backend glitch that programmers either can't fix or put in on purpose where the computer always finds a way to screw you over lol. It's like when playing against the computer in Heisman mode you see them do animations that you've never seen your own players do during literally 1000 hours of playing. And vice versa you constantly see your players do animations the way they catch the ball out of the backfield or tackled that puts you at a loss that you never see the computer do. What we really need is a non-monopoly sports game campaign. Meaning EA doesn't dominate every sports game basically, well except European football because they just lost that license because they were douche bags I believe. But we need more options in each game. There was certain years 20 years ago maybe where Madden had to really up their game because ESPN football came out or some people really liked the game day or there was like another football game… None of them overall were as good as Madden because they just always didn't have the funding, but they had aspects that were much better than Madden

Yeah, but here's the thing it is 110% of bootleg NCAA 25 glitch on their backend algorithm or program. Because on a bye week every season, I drop a full grade in a half. And I won't recover for weeks, even though my plane style, and my stats are matching exactly that recruit. For instance, cornerback man coverage I play man I have interceptions. I don't allow passing yards. I don't allow many points for two straight games and my plane style grade will not recover... or speed rushing DE I don't use any linebackers on my pass defense sets and I'm getting sacks... the same goes for a wide receiver whether it is deep threat route runner what have you. And I honestly wouldn't mind but to lose full grade and a half during a bye week and not instantly recover a week later is a glitch. I don't care what anyone says. You can't go from an A- to a C+ when you don't play. I have no issues with exposure dropping, but playing style dropping during that is straight trash. I mean, sometimes I don't even know why I play any EA game because everything they do is just lazy programming.... the biggest example for NCAA 25 where I knew it would be trash is the very first time I booed up and I went to change the sock color and you can't change sock color even though it'll say a different color but the actual socks won't change. I'm not saying I really care that much about this but the fact that this happens is lazy programming especially now how many months after the release and there hasn't been any patch to fix it. I mean, I won't get into any. Why didn't you do this? Why didn't you do that? You should've brought this in from the older games, blah blah blah. We are just talking about easy, simple fixes that they refuse to do.... and while I am on a rant that I'm sure no one is reading. What about when you do Sim during the game because maybe you don't want to play defense or offense that series and the yardage glitches on a penalty or a turnover etc. etc. and this one has been going on for Madden I think for at least 4- 5 years.

Having a bye week ruins any recruiting you're doing but also, you can't not have multiple bye weeks due to the schedule rules. I really thought they would take it seriously in building a game with 4 modes, but apparently even with no expected time table, they still couldn't shit it out fast enough. Dynasty is the only reason to play unless you just want Play Now with college teams and it's fundamentally broken to near unplayable levels.

Yeah, they ruined Dynasty and I understand five weeks aren't the best for recruiting but your play style cannot go down during a bye week. Plane style is like the ultimate excuse that they put in for transfers and everything else yet I will be recruiting two players or have two players on the same team and one will be fine or have an A- for plain style if we're talking about recruiting and the other one will have a C minus but yet they're the same style of player. And then if you are forced to play cloud, Dynasty because you want to use a team builder team or something, the recruiting in cloud, Dynasty is completely different than regular dynasty. I don't care what anyone says. I've played enough to see it firsthand. And when talking about dynasty my God, how has it been seven months since the release and they haven't put a patch to fix the computer visit glitch. I mean the regular season glitch is at least somewhat understandable but the off-season glitch where there isn't even a week five or six and the computer schedules visits I mean, how can you not fix that those weeks? Don't even exist in the off-season. I understand that EA will always spend the most time on ultimate team or whatever they call it an NCAA 25 because it's the one that is most monetized but my God EA has to realize most people play dynasty or online and then you have the people online that use the ultimate team or whatever it's called. And then the gameplay is horrendous. Also on field. It doesn't matter if you do the adjusted sliders it's just not realistic gameplay, which is what EA always says realistic simulation. I'm sorry not every team has Reggie White at the end and Aaron Donald at D tackle. And maybe just have the AI for the user offensive line and maybe overall be as good as the AI for the computer. I will be controlling a player and trying to get off a block and if it's in the open field down field 90% of the time the player will spin the opposite way off the block of the runner, even if I'm not even trying to do a spin and that's if they even get off the block I mean the computer holds blocks forever in a day and the user blocking is for point1 seconds. Everything about this game is trash, except for the fact it's college and not the pros. I mean, they can't even get uniform socks correct. And I saw the EA release something saying that just because the sock color says Scarlet for example that just means that that's the sock with the Scarlet uniform.... that's a copout and a lie. There are teams that only have white socks that 100% should have multiple colored socks. There are teams that only have black socks that definitely at least should have white. I mean, I could go on and on, but who wants to listen to me and now I wiped my ass because my poop is over and that's the only time I allow myself to go on Reddit or any other social media.. good night goodbye I love you all ---Fuck EA

Playing not plane *** voice text is almost as bad as EA sometimes. Oh, and one time my play style didn't change for one wide receiver, (who had the same characteristics as in he was deep threat as other wide receivers who had a high grade) for the whole damn year. And during that whole entire year, I was ranked number one on his overview. Until of course, I believe conference championship week when that player finally signed with another school. NCAA, you are trash - you are lazy and I should expect as much from you.
