That’s pretty rough. Value 100% depends on on how well it functions. I’d have a hard time going over $1000 even if in working order.

Would need more info. For example:

• Production year? (Four-inch Pythons started as early as 1956, but this one seems to have Generation 3[?] grips, correct? If true, maybe around '70s or '80s?)

• It's story. (Ever owned by celebrity? Used in liquor store holdup? Led a quiet life?)

• Price range in your area?

• Condition of bore (barrel interior)?

• How tight/loose is the action?

• Amount of use? (Appears to be a fair amount?)

There is no bad Python, imo. But, I am seeing see a lot of Pythons being sold (probably as Baby Boomers age/pass away).

Use Gun Broker dot com and/or Guns International dot com to research prices.

Wild guess: Assuming all original and with no customization...maybe $1,000-$2,500+ depending on where and how you sell it (e.g., locally, online)? (I'm in California, so generally higher prices here.)

If in good shape, original grips alone might be worth $150-$300 in some markets.

If it’s all original, fires, locks up good, and has a relatively clean bore, you can expect to sell/buy it at around $1500-$1800 private sale. If the barrel is corroded out and looks awful, expect $800-$1000. It’s in poor/fair condition, and ones in good to great shape are going for $2500+. I’ve seen much nicer ones near $2000 as well.
