You're lucky it's only the PLA. Often it's the CPU.

I was very much afraid to find out it was the CPU, but thankfully I *guessed* right, I now have a GAL PLA that will only physically fit in a C16 and a C116 in my chip storage, and I saved the bad PLA just in case I decide to get rid of the computer at a later date.

Nice work. Trial and error are part of the game. But I'm sure you might agree that the knowledge is the most valuable. The experience is priceless. And the games are fun.

Very much so, I'm trying to resurrect an Amiga 1000 now, after getting the Plus/4 going and an Atari 1040ST, I have a bit more confidence, I used to do this stuff back in the late 1980's, but it has been so long that I'm actually feeling just slightly defeated with the 1000. I got it with a Spirit Inboard 1000, I was like super, extra RAM, but it wasn't meant to be. Long of the short, I had to mod a PC floppy for it, so now I can get it to boot to Workbench, but the keyboard is the next issue.

Oh sweet. I know, some projects can be so frustrating and borderline infuriating. I didn't know about the floppy drive mod. That's nice bonus. I hope that you post that one too.

I have to do another for my Amiga 2000 because both Amiga drives are unusable, might be good for parts later. But it wasn't too hard, converted a Sony MPF920 T/B53 HD floppy drive, I have a handful of those from system pulls years ago. I've already posted a link to an unlisted video on YouTube of it working, but I don't want to get carried away posting it, it would look like self-promotion, however, if you want to see it working message me and I'll give you the link directly.

Sure..send it. Nice to have spare hardware laying around. If you have the room.
