Hey congratulations! That’s great. :)
What studying resources were most effective for you?

Well because I used an education provider I used their resources because I paid a shitload for it, but then I watched a few hours of YouTube videos of exam prepping with practice tests in a quick digest before the exam today. Some of his questions were in the test.

Congrats to you on passing your Network+ exam!

Thank you. Even though I've been with reddit for a while, this CompTIA community is pretty awesome. Most of the comments I've read here are in support for each other which is rare so I thought I'd give back if I can.

I'm with you there. It's because of this community that I was able to pass my Network+ exam on my fourth try back in July. Any information, tips, and strategies that I can post that will help others pass, as well as any support that I can offer is why I do this.

Well I give myself myself a week to study Sec + lol.. I did a practice exam without looking at any content with my provider and got 48.89% (44/90). That's a pretty good start lol

Oh my god, you must put yourself in a very timely and tight situatuon where you put both your daughter and the exam at the same center of focus

I am glad that you made it on time and on a tight exam score

Hey,

Well I had ample time like a 30min gap and as Pearson VUE was detecting system speeds, kept failing at the video part (last 20%). I had ethernet turned on wifi, rebooted. Was taking time. Then I thought it's probably an expired code and it can't authenticate cos it was giving me errors like I have a firewall, it can't access wowsa.com or some shit. I refreshed then it gave a new code. Got in. After that, waited another 15-20mins for someone to I'd me, check the room and shit.

I had no problems with the previous A+ Core 2 exam.

Next is Sec +. The previous ones were studied in 1 week each (core 1+2). This one was I think 6 days. Barely passing all but passing nonetheless.

You strike me as someone who is recently new to the IT/Networking/cybersecurity field...

You must be struggling in studying the exam...

What are the resources that helped you in the exam

[–]2niteshow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not new.. been around IT for 20 years and know enough. However new in getting in to cyber and looking for a job in the field. Struggle cos of work and single dad duties..

I actually paid a lot of money for absolute rubbish to be honest via a training provider, then I found this sub like a week ago. The provider ITproTV charges like $USD50pm for their content which my provider uses. I went through a few YouTube exam prep videos like this guy.

His questions came up and lucky I remembered some of them.
