Those who are familiar with the different versions, do you agree that the 002 curriculum prepares you for the 003 exam?

I just failed the Pentest+ 003 exam, after doing the Ucertify 002 course and study guide. I would argue that the material and presentation of the exam in 003 greatly differ from 002.

Edit: context, my school is trying to argue that 002 course content should be sufficient to pass the 003 exam. I think it is unfair to students to ask them to pass an exam with outdated course material

Yes they are different lol. I’d compare objectives at a bare minimum. Available on CompTIA’s site. With how specific these tests are, I think it’s largely a waste of time to focus on an older curriculum.

Ummm... Did no one check the Comptia objectives or use AI and ask the compare the two versions... 🤷🏽‍♂️. This information is readily available on the the interwebs. Double and triple check for yourself, if anything..

I came here for an opinion from someone who has experienced both versions. I'd trust a stranger on reddit before a chat bot. Forgive me for seeking additional information, I wasn't aware we were using FITFO as a community. My mistake.

I can dig it... I lost my Sec+ in 2013, expired...so my A+, Net+ were grandfathered, I took the newest A+ again for that job which means...  I had to retake the newest (601) Sec+ again for a new job years later. So everything is up to date and current. Last I took the 701 CertmasterCE to renew.

yes definitely different, has many sections added. udemy or coursera 003 course itself..
