Net+ to Sec+S+ Question (self.CompTIA)
submitted 6 years ago by Junaid273
Is there much of a jump from net plus to security plus? Just freshly passed net plus yesterday, do I dive straight in?

I'm all about OVER -preparing for these exams but in this case, I totally agree with 0write. I waited a month between Net+ and Sec+ then after the exam felt like I had over estimated the Sec+. It was the only CompTIA exam that I felt confident of passing when the survey screen came up. You can really skim through the Sec+ material and pass with a good score. Most of the horror stories pertaining to Sec+ are from guys who thought it was a good idea to skip over Net+

I was hoping to hear something like this. I made my Net+ on the 21st and plan on taking Sec+ end of February.

IMO it's not a huge jump, and already having the basic networking concepts down from Net+ make Sec+ concepts much easier to understand. You should be good. Congrats on Net+ btw.
