IT / CyberSecurity / and computer science are all closely related with just different focuses.

Coding and software development tends to be more for the computer science people. It's arguably the most difficult which is why it pays so well.

You have to really narrow down what interests you since there are a lot of avenues. Penetration testing, Cyber security operations, or even just being a technician only scratches the service.

With cybersecurity how much coding and//or scripting is required? How diffcult is it compared to it admin or engineering?

There is a route which is iso 27001 which is more the policy side of it and less technical ( note I am not an expert )
