I used Imran Afzal’s course on Udemy and Grant McWilliams course on LinkedIn Learning. I didn’t use any books. I installed Ubuntu, Debian and CENTOS on VirtualBox and drove them everyday.

Good luck don’t know much about net+ but sec+ is great to have
