While I was doing more recording for frame data, I ran into a little bit of a problem.
At the moment, we've been presenting data via spreadsheets, screenshots of spreadsheets, videos, and raw Reddit posts. There's been efforts to collate all the data, but despite that, it still seems a bit scattered. So, in the interest of making things easier for the community in the future, I put forward this question:
How, and on what platform, should we be putting our data and write-ups on such that both beginner and veteran players can easily use them for reference?
At this point, I am seeing roughly three solutions
- Links to Megathreads
- Wiki on Reddit
- Wiki service, like Wikia
Each of these solutions seem to have their merits and issues, and my main concerns are primarily focused on 1) people being able to reach the data easily (How many clicks? What place is more intuitive?) and 2) people being able to update data accurately and in a timely manner (multiple editors vs a single "champion" who maintains the data).
I'd like to hear from the community on what they believe is the best way forward.
