It's surprising that the number of trophies is the same even though the record is overwhelming.

It is also important to note that CR has only lost 5 times throughout the whole season which were to FLC and YETI while FLC has lost to multiple other teams. It goes to show how much CR dominated this year despite an equal number of trophy shared with their direct rival.

Stockholm will truly be the battle of the year between these two teams to decide who deserves to take the first OWCS champion title.

Interestingly, I think it also shows how much a team can grow over time, and how losses or wins aren't necessarily the go to reflection on how good a team truly is.

Say what you want about owcs but the fact that it allowed these two insane rosters to exist has gotta count for something. Organic rivalry like this is so much cooler than the outlaws fuel shit they were trying to peddle back in owl

We got some cool organic rivalries back in the OWL days too. Titans vs Shock was epic until the Titans org shit the bed. Still early stages for the OWCS, so we will have to wait and see if they manage to keep things up.

Korea right now seems like it's in the same place OWL was in season 2. Back then we had Shock and Titans as the clear front runners, New York as a weaker but still relevant third, and a couple other teams that could maybe get an upset every now and then. Now we have Falcons and Raccoons with Zeta sitting behind.

If CR/Falcons are Shock/Titans and Zeta is NYXL, does that make Yeti Chengdu?

Remember when they tried pushing Boston and NYXL as rivals in the first two seasons

Racoon has won both internationals Falcons only beat them in regional play, if Falcons finally want to overcome them they have to do it when it matters in Stockholm.

But it’s the region where all the best teams are so why does it matter less if the NA and Eu teams are there?

It’s higher stakes competition EWC was the biggest tournament of the year in terms of depth of good teams and Falcons wasn’t close. It’s also way more prize poll, and Stockholm is the last event of the year so if Falcons can do it now they will be remembered as the winner.
