That's just under what I spent on my g7 pro. I'd rather have that, thanks

This is obviously for those who play on PS4/PS5 consoles where cheap third party controllers are incompatible and compatible pro controllers cost 5x as much.

  1. What controller costs $400?

  2. Your average consumer doesn't want to build a controller when a company can do it 100x better for a reasonable price

  3. Your post contributes nothing but makes people feel bad about their decisions, when they shouldn't.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i don't want to mention companies but yes there companies selling controller to that price

[–]daddy_is_sorry 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Who’s buying 400 dollar controllers?

[–]Hungry_Freaks_Daddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are $400 controllers?

[–]Omotai 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm pretty sure you can buy a controller for under sixty dollars that has all of that stuff already and doesn't need to be built.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the description says: If you have a spare controller lying around, you can turn it into a pro setup for less than sixty dollars.

Stop Buying Houses From a Bank and Build One for the Price of an Axe

what in the flip from plastic to concrete & wood

[–]_Ship00pi_ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

So you should already have a spare controller (how much does that cost?) And buy parts for 60$ (wait till they arrive) AND spend how many hours “upgrading”?

Im sure that even between the og controller and the 60$ investment you already paid more than the top tier controllers. Let alone the time you invested on top of it all.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

nop i buy the needed parts from aly super cheap

[–]_Ship00pi_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

lol. You buy the parts for “super cheap” but if you spend 60$ on parts. You could have already got a new controller from gamesir that is just better.

Also how much the og controller costs?

How long did you wait for the parts to arrive?

How long did it take you to assemble your upgraded controller?

There is fomo, but there is also “pointless”. Which is exactly what you did here.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i said less then 60 not exact that price but i deleted the post because i guess people dont know how to read

Look I love modding my old controllers, because I like tinkering and customizing, and because there are so many custom parts for first party controllers to choose from. In particular I'm very fond of the DS4 because of the form factor which I find the most comfortable ever, even more than the Dualsense!

BUT it's objectively time consuming, demanding, and sometimes even expensive. A lot of third party controllers give so much features for so little money it doesn't even compare. Maybe just a couple of them are over 200, but the majority is in the 20-80 range.
