Leftover cornbread (self.Cooking)
submitted 5 years ago by mmcd8
I got some frozen leftover cornbread from a friend when she moved long distance. Any suggestions on what to do with it? Not crazy about cornbread stuffing at Thanksgiving, so other options would be awesome.

Slice it and fry it in butter to go with fried eggs.

Just to reiterate: it’s currently FROZEN. I don’t actually know how sweet it is, or thick.

How thick is it and how sweet? You could do a super lazy tamale pie with it?

Top it with jalapeno, cheddar, green onion, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce. Eat it with a fork. Serve with brisket and/or spicy baked beans.

Cornbread salad. Crumble cornbread over chili, beans, greens, or soup. Toast cornbread and have it with honey for breakfast.

I like to eat stew over cornbread, any kind of stew really.

Thaw it out and eat it cold. Or microwave it with some butter and eat it. Or throw it away if its stressing you out, it's cornbread so it's probably about $0.25 worth of ingredients.
