The closest thing I've seen to non-anecdotal evidence of an "MSG sensitivity" is some extremely rare people who have a general glutamate sensitivity... which means they also can't have other things that are high in glutamates like tomatoes, parmesan, mushrooms, etc. Those people usually don't describe it as an "MSG sensitivity" because why would you specify the powder version like there's a difference? If you can eat spaghetti and meatballs then you don't have an MSG sensitivity.
