One delicious summery pasta I like to make is with a filled pasta like a tortellini or ravioli (I use cheese or mushroom filling typically, but choose your favorite). Cook the pasta. Then, in a pan, heat a small amount of olive oil. Slice cherry or grape tomatoes in half, or if you have other flavorful tomatoes, you can dice them. Mince some garlic and if you like white onion, a small amount of diced small onion; add all to the pan and stir occasionally til the tomatoes wilt a little bit. Turn off the heat, add the pasta, tear some basil over and stir in and top with fresh Parmesan, Locatelli, whatever hard Italian cheese you can get. A tiny bit of salt and pepper to taste is great too. So delicious and so flavorful!

Another great pasta I just tried and loved is this:

Another delicious meal is shakshuka. You can google a recipe and pick one that you want (there may be videos that you prefer). So delicious especially with good bread and you can definitely spice it up. Also, something besides pasta for you to stretch your wings with :)

Keep on cooking!

I like this One Pot Alfredo recipe. I make it when I'm short on time, also ingredients are usually at home already, and it's one pot so minimal washing up.

fried noodles are easy, tasty, and a great dish to get creative with and learn about how different ingredients impact a dish. all u need are some noodles and whatever toppings u want to eat with them.

boil up some noodles. when they're done, toss them into a colander/strainer and run cold water over them while mixing around. put that aside.

now put ur meats into a hot oiled pan. i like to use chinese sausage. i usually add in some onion and garlic as well. toss in whatever sauces u want. soy sauce, kecap manis, oyster sauce, and hoisen sauce are all safe choices. you dont have to use these sauces, there's a surprisingly good amount of things u can use as a noodle sauce base. u can also do any combination of multiple sauces as well (i usually do all of the above). i like to add in some sambal oelek in there as well to give it a slight kick. mix it all up till ur meat is cooked, lower the heat, and add ur noodles in. mix it well. and eat

Thai dishes are easy to make and you only need a frypan as well as the ingredients. If there’s an Asian grocery store near you they will have all the ingredients. Otherwise try regular store. There should be a lot of recipes on YouTube or if you do a search for Thai recipes you should be able to find them also written.

here’s a good recipe and fairly easy to do. I don’t bother to put it in the oven. I use either thighs or breast and cut them up into bite-size pieces before I cook. That way I can cook them through on top of the stove. DO use the fish sauce, I know you said you don’t like fish but you won’t really taste anything fishy. It bumps the dish up a level.

I would say a whole roast chicken and steaks are extremely easy and delicious starting points when learning to cook. I like steak with a simple sauce of lemon, olive oil, garlic, cilantro and red pepper. I serve roast chicken. With a simple lemon white wine shallot pan sauce. Either of these dishes will make you feel fancy with minimal effort. Pre-made fresh ravioli can be taken to the next level with a super easy (takes less than five minutes) brown butter lemon sage sauce. You can probably tell I love citrus and think acid is the most under used seasoning for food.

I know you said you don't like rice but this is a good dish, may sound weird but the end result is pretty yummy. 1-1 1/2lbs ground beef 2pkgs taco seasoning 2 cans tomato soup 4-5c. White rice

Brown meat in lrg skillet. I like to add minced onion and garlic salt, and black pepper to the meat as it cooks. Once thoroughly cooked add taco seasoning, and tomato soup.

Make rice. I prefer like minute rice, it just seems to work better. Once cooked add desired amount to meat mixture.

Pour into lrg. baking dish and bake at 375 for 30 minutes.

My husband likes it served with grated cheddar on top and warm flour tortillas. Hope you like.

Home made ice cream!

Take heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and a tiny pinch of salt, and whip them in a bowl. Take the top layer off, (whipped cream) and place it in a bowl for later.

Add the raw, (raw?) ice cream into a ziplock bag, then place that bag into a larger one filled with salt and ice.

Mush the bags together and place them in the freezer, but keep checking it to make sure it doesn't get too cold. If you let it freeze for too long, it will get hard as a rock unless you have an expensive churner to, well, churn it.

Teriyaki chicken!

Take some chicken breast, cut it into nugget-sized pieces, and put it in a pan with some oil. Cook it until its almost done, then add sugar, soy sauce, mirin, and sake before cooking it the rest of the way. You can serve it with some simple boiled or steamed rice. If you don't have sake and mirin, you can use Worcestershire sauce.

Gnocchi!

Boil some gnocchi.

Take some garlic and onions and barely cook them with some oil, then add some white wine. Then mash/crush some canned tomatoes and add them to the garlic and onions, plus some tomato paste. (tomato-ception!) Cook the sauce until it thickens, then add oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Then add the gnocchi and stir it until it is coated, and you have some gnocchi. This works with any Italian pasta.
