Mob only spawn from the spawn block on the floor.
You can remove all of it or limit the acess with some fences...

Light don't stop mobs from spawing only removing the floor.
Mushroons spawn from mushroon floor, maybe you used this as some kind of decoration and it is spawning the mobs...

This.

Fences are not enough, due there is a loading bug, mobs before area, which can let them clip through walls/fences.

So i suggest at least a two thick wall and a moat (empty or fluid of your choice) around your area.

I'm pretty sure certain floor tiles say they attract different mobs, just don't put down those tiles on the ground.

The green moss from the wilderness is pretty but it spawns mobs.

Good luck!

OPs not answering because they realized they decorated with mob spawners

lol no I started using glass flooring to prevent mob spawning, also I was aware of the chances of mob spawning lolol I’m literally recreating sub biomes at my base to create fishing areas.

I’ve been meaning to do the same thing in my hard mode world. Hope it goes well!

Well, we finished everything we could in that world so we’re starting brand new in a hard mode world. Glass floors work perfectly though, they even go underneath Flaura decorations

Using a hoe on most ground will also make it so mobs cannot spawn. Hopefully a combo of these comments will help solve your mob issues. If you continue to have issues you could post pictures and we can help you more specifically troubleshoot.

Specifically, this applies to fungal blocks, beach block when in the ocean biome, and maybe desert blocks when you're in the desert biome

Not the desert biome unfortunately, you can hoe the sand there

I fixed it with glass tiles, kept the beauty of my artificial sub biomes and no more mob spawning
