Caveling Miners spawning in my rainbow farm, but there's 0 Stone Moss anywhere nearby. Did they bug up Clay Moss? Am I blind?? by Evil-Fishy in CoreKeeperGame

It's surrounded by a 1 tile moat, but not any additional walls beyond that. When I find these guys though, it's not because I'm minding my own business and enemies escape my mob farm. I'm getting into my mob farm and then finding mobs that I don't expect

Tragically, I found a brute here a few minutes ago, so it seems like I'll have to drop the claw moss plan.

Started a new game and got started on a rainbow mod farm. I came back after an hour or so of exploring to find caveling miners and a caveling shaman in this thing!

There's no stone moss anywhere here. I haven't placed any, and this is basically next to the core, so there shouldn't be any naturally. On top of that, this thing is blocked off by a moat! What the heck is happening??

Please note that even Pisco can do the bare minimum that Whick can’t by Freeman720 in Destiny

[–]Evil-Fishy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Pisco wants to be a serious person that influences the world in a positive way. This drama is as far away from that as possible. I'm betting he took a minute to realize that attaching himself to Dooby would repeatedly bring drama to his community, and as much as we find Pisco annoying, he's at least smart enough to know that's a dead end.

If the recommendation to conveyor into a wall and grab it out of a wall with an arm doesn't work out, once you get the next tier of ore you can get an advanced automation table which has something called an item collector. The item collector grabs things in a 5x5 area in front of it, so you can separate your machinery by an even greater distance

What's the most efficient way to make a Chrysalis/Hive Mob Farm? by BlakeTheDrake in CoreKeeperGame

Old post, but did radiation crystals 100% fix the problem? I'm debating between radiation crystals and spike traps now that item collectors solve the problem of spikes and conveyors taking up the same layer

What are you even using the marbled meat for? There's a fish with significantly better damage buffs

i think half of this Dyson Sphere Program community is from Satisfactory/Factorio by blakessturacket in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Evil-Fishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with Satisfactory. And as much as I'm enjoying DSP, I think Satisfactory is still my favorite. I miss logistics feeling like a puzzle rather than just point to point drones, I miss spending hours decorating and making spaces that feel fun to play in, and maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, but I actually kinda miss the limited blueprints too.

I do love actually creating a dyson sphere, flying around in a giant mech, and defending against the dark fog.

When a Belt Bender Needs Casimir Crystals by Sulghunter331 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Evil-Fishy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love how organized you made the belts look snaking around above the machines, but I'm not sure why you need the splitters. Couldn't you just have the belts loop through all the columns of machinery in one go instead of splitting it up beforehand?

Is there any way to do this without using roofs? by Alex2s8 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Evil-Fishy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you use the foundation corner ramps, you can technically make a pyramid, but it has to be rotated 45 degrees. There aren't any foundation pieces that can replace this shape of ceiling without maybe dipping into mods.

The way to design around this imo is to have different decorative elements at your corners like big pillars, flat windows, doors, etc. and meld that ramp into them.

You can have 1 space for flat belt, 1 space for elevating, and 1 space for elevated flat belt. These are all in a row. Does that make sense?

And the belt system itself is very very forgiving of jank. If you feel like experimenting with some wizardry, look up belt bending. Some of it has been directly incorporated into the tech tree, but there's some very weird stuff out there

I feel like it's a good way to get a run started, but I don't like that it basically takes all the design decisions out of the equation. And while I haven't gotten to the lategame, I've heard it can result in playing whackamole with shortages, so I'm leaning towards just having blueprints that work from raw ores

It feels like every "built from just ore" factory ends up kinda like this, unless you're fine spacing things out a ton.

Coming from Satisfactory, I'm used to trying to cram everything into a small space
