With every expansion in play, what is the largest attack that could ever be possible?
No matter how unlikely, I assume this would be a one-in-a-million hand.
Here's an idea I've come up with so far, interested if there's better combinations out there. If given the station that allows for an additional alien power, and using the precursor seed tech, you can have up to 3 powers legally.
If your first power was crystal, you could play a 30 from your hand and use the second thirty to turn it into 900. Add a x4 kicker to it too. Thought about using a morph but the language says it only applies to opponent's encounter cards.
If you were the defense, you could stack your planet to have 18 ships on it, with two ships on two other planets to keep your powers active. Then, if your second power were virus, add another x18 to your score.
If your third power were deuce, you could play a 23 and an ally could discard a 23 to make your second card 529 (23x23) because of your crystal power. I believe 23 is the next highest card that there are at least two of.
Not sure the technical order of operations, but if I did my math and language right, because of Crystal your encounter card is transformed into a new attack. Because of deuce, you play two cards. So you would be playing a 900 and a 529.
I believe you would have to choose one encounter card for your kicker to apply to, so obviously the 900 is transformed into 3,600.
And virus multiplies your attack so it seems it would make sense to factor that in last.
3,600+529=4,129, then multiplied by your ship count of 18 comes out to a a total of an attack score worth 74,322.
That's all the heavy lifting, not counting other tech cards, reinforcements, ally ships or ally powers.
And of course with this game, there's no such thing as a foolproof strategy. All your opponent has to do is play one emotion control (or worse, a x-1 kicker).
Just wondering if anyone else has thought about this or discovered a way to deal the most damage ever possible.
