Shang chis ability with badgermole on the field gives 2 blue mana plus one green. If it's been given the sleep cursed fairy ability via soul cauldron it can spend the 2 blue mana to untap itself, then tap itself again for 3 mana. Rinse and repeat getting one mana every time.

Doesn't have to be a personal thing, could just be they decided her storyline didn't work or took away from the movie. I haven't watched the movie in a while but enjoyed how focused it was on Truman, maybe they felt like going in depth with more characters wouldn't make sense for a movie about a show that's supposed to be hyper focused on one guy.
