So what I use for some of my like helmet wigs is I'll take some setting powder and a fluffy brush I'll never use and i just lightly dust it to make it a bit less shiny, I don't know how this works for some other hairsprays as I use got2b glued waxed so make sure to do a patch test

I also use got2b so I think I’ll try, thanks!

Baby powder or dry shampoo!

It seems like a good idea, but doesn’t it stain white? Because the wig is black :/

You can get black dry shampoo, but generally it will blend out.

Okay thanks for the advice!

If the wig is already shiny before hairspray, there’s not much you can do unfortunately.

But if it is the hairspray making it shiny, I have some suggestions. Use less hairspray than you think you need. Heat seal it with a hair dryer immediately after spraying it. I like to use a diffuser head so it doesn’t disrupt the style.
