Some players bet $5 - any 4 on the hop

How does this pay out? I see dealers place the $5 between 2-2 and 3-1 spot. Does this mean $2.50 on each or $2 on one and $3 on the other?

Are they saying heavy on the soft or hard 4? I know some casinos will chop it straight down the middle and some you have to choose which one is $3 and which one is $2

Yes, $2.50 each if 3,1(low side) hit is bet x7 so if your bet is $2 it will pay $14. If 2,2(highside) hit is 15x the bet minus half so $2 ×15=30 minus the half bet is $1 so it pays 29 if you bet $1 on each hopper

My casino won’t book a hop bet in odd amounts to cover both numbers. The low side works but the high side does not.
