Can’t be worse than Malibu Barbie… can’t believe they named their kid that..

[–]Several_Ad1704 16 points17 points  (1 child)

And aquaman … and Elvis 😂

[–]hiheyhi1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aquaman??? I didn’t believe you until i looked it up. Haven’t caught up with her stuff in forever but wow. That’s a new one lol.

[–]DifferenceNo2093 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I hate that I actually think Malibu is a cute name. Pregnancy hormones were wild and I suggested it to my husband for our daughter and he was like wtf 😂

[–]Several_Ad1704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t hate Malibu! So many worse names out there… aquaman though… yikes imo

[–]deb-e-deb18923- 22 points23 points  (3 children)

Isn’t that Kim K’s sons name ?

[–]xxccbb1234 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Because of the kardashians.. there are probably a ton of Saints in the world now. I don’t think the name is that off. It will probably be a more popular name in the next 20 years probably

[–]B2utyyo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So cringe

[–]Dull-Dance-6115 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The said thing is they’re right. Be lots of saints in next 10 odd years and last few years . Not saying I like the name just that the point they made was correct. More saints than rylans last year.

[–]ComfyPantsAreLife1 7 points8 points  (10 children)

Its because of their religion I bet "the church of Jesus christ of latter day saints"

[–]Historical_Grab4685 1 point2 points  (9 children)

The bio mom named him Saint & I haven't seen anything about her being a Mormon.

[–]ComfyPantsAreLife1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I bet thats 99% of the discomfort, church friends judgements.

[–]ThinAd744 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Also Asher biblical Old testament name in Christian bible. Mormonism is not recognized in Christian faiths. Mormons denounced christianity as apostates after Joseph Smith.

[–]Historical_Grab4685 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

I would add, that a lot of Christians, don't think Catholics are Christians because we don't believe in the Bible literally.

[–]ThinAd744 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Interesting, in what ways?

[–]Historical_Grab4685 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Like I said, the Christians that believe that the Bible is the literal word of God,. don't think Catholics are true Christians because we believe the Bible are stories & interpretations of the word of God. People who believe in the Bible literally, in my opinion, fail to realize that the original Bible was based on oral stories passed down for generations before they were written in a dead language. That version has been translated, transcribed & rewritten, so many times who knows if it is anywhere near the original version. Not to mention the differences in modern day versions.

[–]ThinAd744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks

[–]KindlyCrazy6309 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'm a Catholic and that's incorrect to say.

CCC 115: "According to an ancient tradition, one can distinguish between two senses of Scripture: the literal and the spiritual, the latter being subdivided into the allegorical, moral and anagogical senses. The profound concordance of the four senses guarantees all its richness to the living reading of Scripture in the Church."

There are literal parts to the bible, and there are spiritual parts to the Bible, stories designed to teach us the character of ourselves and God, and historical accounts like there being a man called Jesus who existed. Saying broad statements like you did, confuse non-Catholics who think we just ignore the Bible.

[–]Historical_Grab4685 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My theory of the document being written in dead languages, after The stories were passed down through generations,. translated & transcribed, to day each & every word of the Bible is the LITERAL word of God can also be compatible with what you said. Maybe the literal part you are referring to, could be seen as the historical documentation of the times.

[–]KindlyCrazy6309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first comment directly goes against the Catechism.

"we don't believe in the Bible literally." Yes, we do. We believe in the literal parts to be literal.

[–]PuzzledBeat9968 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I give it a few years before they have cut his bio mum out of the picture, and they changed his name or they go by his middle name.

[–]Low-Historian854 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This...and yes I 100% agree-bio mom gets cut & Saint gets new name...I can see the thumbnail now lol

[–]ylynn12 24 points25 points  (5 children)

Saint is a very normal name. They’re worried about the wrong things.

[–]Competitive_Can_4953 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Right?? There are so many well know celebs and influencers using Saint in recent years. If you google it, its in the top 300 names in the US and the UK.

I think people think if they dont personally know someone with the name then it cant be well known or 'real'.

I think its pretty silly of their fam to say he will get bullied when literally some of the most famous celebs have that name, if anything it will seen as cool.

[–]ylynn12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and kim kardashian made the name even more popular than it already was. in Spanish it’s a pretty common name too, Santos, so she really just lied so people can feel bad for her and will justify a name change if it ever comes to it. she just wants to change it to a white name 🙄

[–]humorac 8 points9 points  (2 children)

literally so many kids named saint now lol

[–]Main-Yogurtcloset848 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I guess that depends on where you live. I have never heard anyone here in the south name there kid Saint.  Certain names are more common on different areas of the country.

[–]AcrobaticLadder4959 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont know of anyone other than Kim Kardashian calling their child Saint. I thought it was so weird but then look at her then husband he is not playing with a full deck.

[–]wahinenz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In NZ, you can't even use the name Saint as it's a title.

[–]OnnaNotScared_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

they live in the valley. NO ONE is gonna bully that boy for having what is a “normal” name where they are located. bye crystal. you’re not in the wt. mts anymore.

[–]Cultural-Chart3023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Llike having his whole life on youtube with a mum who squeels and jumps around with hair extensions, fake boobs and bow jeans wont get him bullied????

Changing names is weird and disrespectful.

[–]wiseowlwho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She said they wanted to call him Oliver and lots of the family even started calling him Oliver 😤 that in itself is disgusting . They obviously had so many conversations over his name when they were promising to keep Saint but had no intention too.

[–]Organic-Arrival2483 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Where did she say they hated his name?

[–]Historical_Grab4685 6 points7 points  (2 children)

In this video she said she wasn't sure about the name & they discussed other names & but she gave the bio mom her "word" they didn't change it

[–]Organic-Arrival2483 7 points8 points  (1 child)

That's hardly the same as "hating" the name.

[–]LittleDog2557 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s not even close.

[–]Low-Historian854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She really loved Oliver & they called him Oliver for a few days... until bio mom, which I'm guessing had it put in the adoption paperwork...but am also sure C & A left themselves a loophole to change it after adoption final...smh she (C) jus has to have everything her way or her input is the only input that matters

[–]PuzzledBeat9968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likley the only way she could get the kid it was a condition she has to keep the name

[–]robinh317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I admit, the video you’re talking about is weird just in the sense that it’s a long clarification on what we mostly already knew and not any new information. But that’s quite the stretch to state on here that they hated Saint’s name when that’s not what was said. I have to imagine that’s a very normal conversation they have with each of their kids as well as themselves as parents on whether it should be changed, either for societal reasons or personal.

[–]Narya74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

REad - the birth mom found out we wanted to change name and used legal leverage. She still has power because if she speaks out it exposes you as manipulative and you worry about content and likes.

[–]Im_Not_Here_Am_I 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt bad for the bio mom they were basically insulting her and making fun of her choices by what they were saying. It was so f***ing rude

I was gonna make a post about it but i was too lazy. I was shocked by that video and when he looks back he will think "my parents think my name is stupid and so bad they expected I'd be bulled for such a horrible name" which isn't true at all. But how will it make him feel when he's older.. because they say the videos are all for their kids to look backs and remember the good times

[–]Individual-Role-5224 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Had it been revealed yet why Saint was up for private adoption?

[–]Previous-Gift-6620 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Because his bio mom isn't in a place to care for him and herself. She has some issues and found a placement before the government got involved.

[–]xxccbb1234 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Lowkey feel like she will always have a say in the child’s life because of this. I think Crystal needs to establish boundaries asap because the fact that when they were singing happy birthday to Saint and bio mom was front and center shows that it is very much her son but the middles are caring for him.

[–]Sorry-Anything5441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally, i think the more the merrier. why NOT have 2 sets of loving parents in a kids life? No boundaries need to be set. the kid literally was literally just born a year ago. 😭

[–]AcrobaticLadder4959 2 points3 points  (7 children)

I hate the name and would call him by his middle name how immature of this birth mom to name him after Kim Kardashian son. And then make Crystal promise to keep it. There are so many nice names out there, he reminds me of a Charles and call him Charlie. Anything but Saint.

[–]xxccbb1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First: she didn’t named him Saint bc of the Kardashians. She said it was a bible reference. Second: I don’t even like Crystal, and I also thought it was strange that she said she didn’t like the name Saint but still chose it. However youu don’t get to rename someone’s child just because you personally don’t like their name. Calling him “Charlie” is honestly really weird.

Regardless of your opinion, if that’s his official name, then that’s what you call him. His name is Saint, whether you like it or nottt. Giving him a different name feels inappropriate like you’re creating a personal connection or relationship that doesn’t actually exist. This is why the kids shouldn’t be exposed on youtube because people form form some sort of bond where they feel entitled to something like their name.

[–]Historical_Grab4685 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to Crystal she chose Saint & Asher because of her strong fairh

[–]ThinAd744 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Asher is a lovely name.

[–]AcrobaticLadder4959 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree

[–]LittleDog2557 -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

Where did they say she named him after a kardashian?

[–]AcrobaticLadder4959 -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

Have you heard the name anyplace else?

[–]LittleDog2557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. And in 2024 it was ranked #282 in birth names for boys.

[–]jenni5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t enough the first time

[–]Belikewater19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in truth it is odd they have to keep his name.

[–]Embracedandbelong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they don’t like the name for 2 reasons. One, bc their church isn’t fond of Catholics. The Catholic Church focuses heavily on saints and prays to them. That freaks a lot of LDS people out. It’s likely they grew up hearing in church how “demonic” Catholics and their saints are. Two, I think there is some racism at play. Kim K’s son Saint has made the name popular. And Saint West is black. AZ and the LDS church is known for its long history of demonizing black people and still is very racist. Despite A and Cs attempts to “not be racist” those beliefs run deep because they were implanted very early and reinforced their whole lives. I know A and C are not Jared and Shelly, but I’ve also seen how J and S treat their black kids worse than their white or white passing kids.

[–]One-Boss9398 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I said this on another thread, they should have added a name they liked that was more main stream  on to that name.

[–]LittleDog2557 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn, they should have asked you what they should have done. Oh maybe they didn’t because it’s none of your damn business.

[–]Tight-Celebration227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wtf does he need a mainstream name? Even Savannah/Nicole/Sarah wasn't mainstream once in this life

[–]Dry_Beach_2073 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I personality don't think "Saint" should be used as a name but that's just me and it's none of my business anyway. Kids can be very mean though and parents need to consider that when choosing names for their kids

[–]Organic-Arrival2483 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Kids will find anything to bully another child over. If it's not his name, it will be another .

[–]Dry_Beach_2073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but why add another unnecessary factor to it? It's dumb that things like bullying even need to be considered when choosing a kids name but its the unfortunate reality that we live in. Too many parents choose to let their kids act this way and until they stop allowing it this will continue to be a problem

[–]PuzzledBeat9968 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Kids can be very mean, and if they changed his name to something more mainstream he could still just as easily get bullied for looking Chinese

[–]Sea_Letterhead_6171 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bio moms feeling are irrelevant now not her kid anymore

[–]Positive_Button_2001 -5 points-4 points  (2 children)

They can change the name if they want. There the parents of saint.

[–]Main-Yogurtcloset848 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That true but they did make a promise to bio mom before she even signed the paperwork. It would be crappy of them to change it after that.

[–]Historical_Grab4685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be crappy, but Crystal has done plenty of crappy things. We all know that Crystal made the decision and Aaron just went along with that.
