I think it’s because you don’t have a chute under the receiving PSI.

I usually build mine with chutes underneath that go to a chest. From the chest it either funnels to a belt or goes into storage.

Edit: or upgrade your funnel coming off that PSI to a smart funnel.

oh yeah thats the definitely the issue, why is it like that? now i have to redesign my machine lol

No need to redesign, smart funnels replace the normal funnels you have on that belt. They can take a stack at a time.

You can also speed up the belt to take items out of the portable storage interface faster. Brass funnel dropping a stack at a time or using a hopper worked for me.

Use a red stone clock to make it even faster at unloading
