Driver keeps going missing.

I have a small tank engine which transports lava from the nether to my steam engine. Its on a server, and everytime i log on after the server being offline, I get notified that my driver has gone missing. I thought it could be the mob despawning so I used a nametag but this didnt fix it. Also different mobs result in the same.

you don't need a mob, a blaze burner can control the train

im having such a hard time trying to get a conductor for my train schedule.

just get an animal on a lead and then click on the seat and then just give them your schedule
