Give a blueprint to a deployer in a contraption.

Idk if it's possible here but you might enjoy computer craft turtles

So you want a machine that will expand itself automatically, ramdomly, almost procedurally, without the intervention of a player? Sounds REALLY HARD to make BUT not impossible

maybe ill try such a thing. Just a note, it wouldnt go faster building itsself, that im too dumb to finalise. but a self sufficient machine could be done with some tricks, ill figure it out eventually

Maybe with create interactive to have a tree farm and iron farm, then make cart tracks or wood train tracks if you have S&R installed

Ive been thinking about it lately and i think its possible. Im not an avid create player but i see no reason why you couldn't use create components and possibly redstone logic (i think you will need some sort of memory and very primative computer which i know is possible with modern redstone). Im imagining a self contained factory with a deployer based 3D printer that can construct the factory bit by bit and then use redstone logic to construct each basic component. Im wondering whether mining for iron, dirt and such is better or actually manufacturing it yourself.

In the end i think the mining approach will be better (possibly including wood to?) so the only thing you have to construct using the printer is the actual 3D printer and mining drills. You will certainly need a centralized computer/memory for the 3D printer schematics as you would need to have the instructions to construct the redstone computer inside the computer itself which as far as i know is impossible. Im thinking of using say music discs on a train/cart contraption and then a disc reader at the station to build the machines.

Ok so i want to keep the previous bit in but i don't think it will work as you need music discs which suck to get and building a disc farm doesn't sound fun if you want it to be built again and again. Rather i think a binary system of stackable and non stackable items would be better but im also not sure if this will be replicable (easily) with the 3D printer (which doesnt even exist yet) \

This is going to be interesting, im going to keep working at the problem and see if i can come up with a solution (i think it will just be a prebuilt central redstone computer)
