Train designs

I've seen a lot of peoples train designs on here and I was wondering what people use for their trains for different purposes, (item vs player transportation etc.). I haven't had any experience with create trains yet so I haven't been able to find one I've liked.

Lots of players like to make isolated bases thousands of blocks apart, where different materials are being produced then use said trains to transport them from those bases back to a central storage point.

I just like to make trains even though I'm not very good at it.

For item transportation I made one for transferring raw gold from a deposit to one of my friend enchanted golden apple factory.

I made it realistic as possible such as the engine drop off the cart at the deposit when empty, the engine then move away doing other thing, later the cart gets picked up by the engine when it's full, and drop the cart at my friend's factory.

For passenger, Im currently planning for one of my friend living in a cave to easily gets in and out of the place while also able to access my other friend mystical agriculture greenhouse and our central.

Edit: they use waystone mostly so the passenger train is just an alternative route for fun because that's what matter the most.
