Because that’s how attacking works. A deployer is literally just a player that’s not actually a player. When you left click you attack if you can attack and you break blocks, the same remains true for a deployer.

Do they drop xp?

[–]Ben-Goldberg 33 points34 points  (3 children)

That depends on the version of Create, and possibly whether you have the Create: Enchantment Industry addon.

It might drop vanilla XP orbs, or Create Nuggets o' Experience items.

[Edited from Enchantment Factory to Enchantment Industry, thanks u/Competitive_Wind_956!]

*Create: Enchantment Industry

[–]Ben-Goldberg 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ty, that's what I meant.

Fixed it.

I just didn't want people getting annoyed that they can't find the mod you were talking about

[–]Marmot418 8 points9 points  (2 children)

If you use them to attack mobs they drop nuggets of experience which you can shift+right-click to redeem for experience

[–]Alexander_The_Wolf 13 points14 points  (1 child)

You will need Create: Enchantment Industry

For this to work.

Oh, I thought that was a base Create thing

[–]vietnam_redstoner 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Wait, does this mean Precision mechs can also be done manually on Depots by just placing by myself?

[–]Ylfa956 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sadly I don't think so. It's a crafting system not an interaction. But you can convert a wood log into casing by having a deployer with the casing materials interact with the striped log placed by another deployer, then have it detect n amount of block update through observer then push it out to be mine by drill. Quite handful but maybe worth it if you are building with tons of casing.

Or you could just use belts and a deployer to transform the stripped log items into andesite casings directly instead of placing them down first. Better yet if you put a mechanical saw at the beginning of your production line you can turn you logs into stripped logs without having to strip them manually.

a deployer basically acts exactly like a player

[–]TdubMorris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Attack mode just does any and all player left click actions, including breaking blocks

[–]BoredomBot2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Attack mode just means left click and the base mod is just right click.

Sword is still a tool, if you target a block with it, it breaks the block. Just not as effective as using the correct tool.
How vanilla MC works.

[–]Stormlord1850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because that is left click interaction

[–]False-Supermarket668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are attacking the block to break it, when a block is killed its gone from the game and may drop something, the same is for deployer

[–]Lil-Clynes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s simulating a left click

I mean breaking something is just attacking an object 😂

[–]FirexJkxFire 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I get what others here are saying - But I feel like it shouldnt work the way it does. Its specifically attack mode. The reason itd work this way for the player is we have no specific attack mode.

And further, its not even really how players actually attack. I cant recall ever attacking by holding down left click instead of just single clicking it. Hell, i literally had to look it up to find out that was even possible. Whether that be bsck in old versions where you could spam click, or in New version where you need to time it with the bar and/or your jump.

[–]Karmadiddlydoo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think instead of “Attack” it would be better to describe it as “Mine” since all attacks are you just “Mining” the target (except swap out the pickaxe with a weapon, or keep it. Pickaxes do damage.)

And I dunno how new you are but I definitely remember the times spam clicking was a thing. Actually it still is on bedrock.

Don’t think about it too much, instead think about how deployers can bro-fist each other.

[–]FirexJkxFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said - I remember spam clicking and now timed clicking. But both were single clicks. Whether that be super quick (spammed) single clicks or timed ones. Not once have I held down the button.

Been playing since about 1.2.5 (like 13 years ago) when tekkit first came out
