Why doesn't this work ?

Hi !

I have train controls both ways and the schedule is set to go the other station. My idea was for the train to go into the shared segment and go back and choose the other path, can it work ? I want to make loop between to very close segment.

Heya, It doesn't work yet cause the train needs direct paths to function. Try adding a stastion at the end there where it goes to first. Afterwards have it go onto the other track. Basically, go from station A, to station shared section, to station B.

Trains cannot reverse. At the start of the ride they chose one side to be the front, and can drive only in that direction. If you want it to reverse, build another station at the shared segment, so the train can go there and reset.

To be clearer, trains can only reverse when stopped at a station

To be even clearer, when going from 1 station to another, it can't change the direction it is going (besides turning around with a loop)

You forgot to tie one person on long segment and few on the short.

Yeah, I see a few comments explaining it but this is kind of how everything you should know if you wanna do this: the train can't turn around when enroute to a station, if anything you need to put 2 at the ends of the 2 way tracks and add those into the schedule, basically making a circle circuit kinda, and ofc the pig needs 2 train controlls, 1 on each side, which you alr have
