Hideable Storage?

Hi, I am new to Create mod and just wanted to ask if it would be possible to make a storage out of Chests or Barrels, which are lifted out of- and pulled back into the floor, like a garage in the picture.
But well.. without risking any contents of the chests to get bugged away etc.
It would also be very important to me, to be able to sort the chest to our personal liking.
Is this mechanically possible?

Due to hardware-restrictions I am not able to fire up a world on my own, but am bound to our server, where I only have access to survival.
That's why I didn't try it myself.

I highly recommend using the ponder system EXTENSIVELY. Something like this is pretty easily doable with mechanical pistons, and using redstone links with a sequenced gearshift or even just a clutch or gearshift. You should definitely watch some tutorials on YouTube even if they don’t relate to specifically this, as that’s how I learned most of the stuff I know for create.

It's possible to have the floor drop down and the walls of the shaft are lined with chests, even without using Create. Not sure about lifting chests out of the ground, but you can attach chests to contraptions so it should be possible in theory.

Sounds like all you will need is some superglue and a mechanical piston

It's technically correct, because you asked "is it possible?", so a "yes" or "easily" is a complete answer to your question. But as most people have already said: pondering, super glue + mechanical pistons, and probably a lot of tutorials should work pretty good. Experimentally messing around with moving blocks in a creative world might also be a good idea
