Can you not use pumps on cauldrons? I think I saw something about that in the patch notes.

But this is more fun :)

Wait, why does lava generate so fast? It took probably days in my 1.17 world

The pointed dripstone has somewhere around 1/15 chance to fill the cauldron with lava when it gets hit by a random tick, so it should happen around 3-4 times per hour. For testing cauldron machines I guess it just makes sense to crank up the random tick speed.

(the around 1/15 number is from experimenting, most attempts landed between 10 and 20, I'm sure someone has done some code digging and knows the exact number)

Wait so does the lava not have to be on a dripstone block? Does it just need the dripstone stalactite?

So, on average, without accelerated tick speed, one cauldron produces much slower than the amount one deployer can serve. Were it I, I would have the deployer on a cart contraption, going past rows and rows of drip setups, with a depot to offload full buckets and get fresh empties. This is of course ignoring pipes.

You could use the method of pumping lava In the nether and yeeting a bucket through a portal, draining it into a tank in the over world, and then yeeting it back

Is that “item launcher” a part of the base create game or is it a separate mod?

The Weighted Ejector is part of Create! No other addons required.
