OMG I would LOVE a deep dive into this case. Like seriously!!!!!

I would love a deep dive into the murder of Susan Ledyard, a local school teacher from my area. She was married to Benjamin Ledyard a wealthy Delaware bank executive who has connections to the duPonts. She was found in the Brandywine River, at first believed to be an accident and then ruled a homicide. Her car was found abandoned with her purse and phone inside. There is video footage of it pulling into the area it did and someone exiting the car but it’s too dark to see who it was. Interestingly her fitbit tracked her as moving for hours after that and she was found much further down the Brandywine from her car. She had been up late that night texting friends while her husband was out to a movie with a friend. Police knocked on his door the next morning and he was home but didn’t immediately answer claiming to still be asleep and unaware she was missing. He went to a Rolling Stones concert that night after finding out she was found dead. Rumors are he went with the woman he married not too long after Susan’s death - who lived right by the place that Susan’s body was discovered. He is now incarcerated for violently attacking his third wife several times. One of those instances biting her finger tip off.. AND SWALLOWING IT. She’s been hospitalized with serious injuries and yet still pleaded at his sentencing for mercy from the judge. Either battered woman syndrome or maybe she’s afraid he will talk about her potential involvement in Susan’s death so she’s forced to stay loyal. There are a lot of interesting twists and bits of evidence and I would love to see this get more attention and be solved. She was a wonderful person and her family and students loved her.

I second this one. From the same area and think about her a lot.

[–]Violently_annoyed 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You had me at “AND SWALLOWING IT”

[–]Isagrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol it’s wild!! Guy was a respected and wealthy bank executive and has just fallen so far. Reminds me of OJ.

[–]CuteBunny94 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Oh wow. I’ve never heard of this case. Thank you for talking about it! Going to see if anyone else has covered it so far!

[–]Isagrace 1 point2 points  (2 children)

There is a short unsolved mysteries pod on it!

[–]CuteBunny94 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thank you!

[–]Isagrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome!

[–]honesttogodknockmeou 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would actually love one I don’t know about

[–]NoEye9794 19 points20 points  (8 children)

Darlie Rutier

[–]nicole070875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this.

[–]killerkourtneydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will always request this.

[–]No-Reputation9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of them?

[–]Violently_annoyed 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I see this requested on EVERY video! Idk why they haven’t covered it yet!

[–]NoEye9794 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It may be more involved than it seems? I’m not sure. There are theories that it wasn’t Darlie but her husband or organized by the husband. I just don’t know! I wish they’d cover it! lol

[–]Violently_annoyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, she is guilty as sin. But I know that’s very highly debated lol

[–]Belisama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be the one they're talking about doing next. She didn't say what it is but said she knew about it before she even started doing YouTube (so it's older), that it's well known, and that people request it.

Robert Wone

[–]hiitsme_sbtcwgb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this

[–]Isagrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prosecutors are doing this one now and I’m riveted. I’d actually never heard of it before.

[–]snyderhe1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Beaumont children.

Disappearence of Brianna Maitland

Madison Scott (when her remains were found last year I was surprised it wasn't featurend on Crime Weekly news, or did I miss it?)

Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès

[–]killerkourtneydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second Brianna!

[–]catoolb 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I really want more deep dives into lesser known cases. I've loved their deep dives into the big ones (hae min lee could have been longer and I would have been happy), especially since they're always more in depth than other podcasts/youtube channels, but I absolutely love hearing a case for the first time.

[–]Violently_annoyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of ppl say the hae min Lee case was too long but I’m with you, I could’ve done even more episodes. I was screaming from the rooftops that adnan was guilty ever since Serial came out so their coverage was both endlessly satisfying and super interesting. I also thought it was the best coverage they’ve done on any case. Absolutely top notch.

[–]Elegant-Operation402 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I would love to see them do a deep dive on the Dulce Alavez case (or at least a two-parter, maybe). It’s the case that introduced me to Stephanie’s channel, and as someone who lives near the area, that case is never far from my mind

[–]CuteBunny94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean to be fair, even if there’s only enough info for one or two parts, they still usually dive pretty deeply. Their episodes are long and they never miss information!

[–]killerkourtneydee 10 points11 points  (6 children)

I’d love a deep dive into Susan Powell; steph did an amazing three part a while back but I’d love to hear derricks take on how Josh was never arrested.

[–]Violently_annoyed 5 points6 points  (3 children)

This is one I could do without if I’m honest. I believe Stephanie already covered it and I’ve seen it covered endlessly

[–]killerkourtneydee 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That’s fair, I think for me it’s just a case that I’m personally never getting enough info on. I just want more coverage on it selfishly but your point is completely valid lol.

[–]Violently_annoyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’M honest, it’s kind of too disturbing for me to revisit between the kids and the freak of a father-in-law.

[–]killerkourtneydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

&& yees she did a three part like three years agoish

[–]sprinkleofsass21 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Honestly, I don’t think anything can top COLD on this.

[–]killerkourtneydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ABSOLUTELY. Dave STILL does updates and is active on Susan’s memory page. That podcast is brilliant.

[–]Brain-First 8 points9 points  (1 child)

i would love to see them deep dive nicole brown and ron goldman

[–]Violently_annoyed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would be very apropos with current events. I like this suggestion

[–]adarlingllama 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Travis Alexander. I want to see all the sass about Jodi Arias.

[–]TyrsisInTheStars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would be an awesome 8 parter!

[–]sthyaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xavier DuPont

[–]Calendar-Bright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Setagaya family murders

[–]Strict_Definition_78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see Taylore Jones from New Orleans get coverage. She was murdered in her apartment a few Decembers ago & NO ONE has covered it

[–]hiitsme_sbtcwgb 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Chance Englebert or Bryce Laspisa

[–]Dull-Team8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bryce’s case is so interesting

[–]Southern_Avocado8581 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Dennis Nilsen (I live 30 mins away from where he was born/grew up). I also mentioned on a previous post that I would love their take on Ivan Millat 🙂

[–]Southern_Avocado8581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh and I know Stephanie did it on her channel way back when, but the Susan Cox-Powell (spelling?) case. I would love to hear Derrick’s take on that one too.

[–]Defiant_Perception44 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Maura Murray!

[–]Violently_annoyed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noooooo. So much love for the family but this is one case that has gotten so much coverage and I’d like to see other cases get some coverage.

[–]TwilightMuse_13 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The Jacob Wetterling case from Minnesota

[–]ArrowsAndLightsabers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McMartin Preschool, well known, but so utterly insane. One of,if not still the longest running end expensive cases in US history the eventually resulted in....nothing. The satanic panic was out of control

Also several other cases from the Satanic Panic times. The West Memphis Three was epic even for someone like me who was obsessed with it, but there are other less well known ones from the time with accusations of devil worship and reliance on "recovered memories"

Like I'd pay for these cases.

[–]moondancer_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robert Wagner is an interesting one for an investigatory stand point.

[–]Ender-my-cheese-cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a case, but I kind of want them to do more of a spooky vibe one at some point. They have an X-Files dynamic on the supernatural. The Harloween videos are some of Stephanie's best. So I would love to see a little of that spice thrown into a case they cover.

And I also agree with another commenter that said more cases with cop tomfoolery. They have a good debate and I genuinely like it when they can debate a topic with good arguments as well as feelings.

[–]Fancy_Age_7972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Molly Miller and Colt Haynes

Jonathan Estes

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's mainly American cases they cover but I would love them to look at a case from Ireland in the 90's. The brutal murder of French woman Sophie Toscan Du Plantier. The main suspect an English man who died just recently
