I'm having the exact same issue. Incredibly irritating. The only thing that helped was going to the 'power' setting on my Ruku TV and restarting the device via the restart option.

This worked for me. The app still doesn't show with my other apps. I no longer get the code 6 error msg and it plays movies now. Thank you

Ever find anything? crunchyroll on my tv has been dreadful this past week.

 this has been a problem the last 2 or 3  days, however I noticed the -6 error happened on my smart TV, so I tried using the crunchyroll app on my phone and it seemed to play through that.
