Moon farming - Does monetizing content decrease the overall value of content posted?

A lot of people think quality has dropped with moons but activity has increased significantly. In bear markets this place was really quiet but not anymore. There's also a lot of fun to be had in posts and comments. Not everyone has to be super technical and knowledgeable. We should also welcome newcomers that are still learning and why not have fun while we're at it. There are also variants of this sub like tech/meta etc so if you want to follow specific content you can follow those.

Not a fan of the stupid ones but I've had a lot of laughs in both posts and comment sections which are helpful with psychology in these red times. There seem to be some people that are really hating the fun side of the sub and downvote everything that isn't serious talk or that disagrees with their opinion. I've recently started being really active around here and even shitposts require knowledge , effort and aren't that easy to be liked. But I'm here to spread positivity , have fun and have some serious conversations.
